The American Red Cross of Northwest New Jersey is looking for everyday heroes in Morris and Warren Counties.

Do you know someone who offered his or her life to save another person? Who protects the well-being of others, or who makes an extraordinary difference in other people's lives?

Take action to honor these everyday heroes- tell us who they are and what they do, and then join us as we recognize them at our annual Hometown Heroes Breakfast.

September 5, 2008, hosted by State Farm in Parsippany.

Nominations are being sought in the following categories:

• Fire

• Law Enforcement

• Paramedic/Volunteer EMT

• Medical

• Adult Good Samaritan

• Military

• Workplace

• Aquatics

• Animal

• Youth Good Samaritan

The heroic event must have occurred between January 1, 2007, and June 30. 2008. Hero nominees must live, work or go to school in our service area in Morris and Warren Counties, or be resident military personnel stationed elsewhere. Nomination form, essay sheet and rules and guidelines are attached. Nominations are due July 21, 2008. Heroes will be chosen by our selection committee of volunteers and community leaders.
