Volunteer
Activity: High School Students: Become a Peer Educator! Great opportunity for future teachers! |
|
Purpose:
The Red
Cross offers opportunities for youth to train preschool and
elementary aged children. We are offering to train you on how to
present Scrubby Bear and Disaster Preparedness.
Both programs are approximately 30 minutes long, and they
are easy and fun to present. This is a great opportunity to earn
leadership and service hours while working with children!

When The
Weather Outside Is Frightful, Keep Fires Delightful and Safe:
Dropping temperatures across the country this time of year
typically prompt a rise in the use of alternative heat sources
such as fireplaces, wood or coal-burning stoves and space
heaters to stay warm, and unfortunately can result in an
increase in the number of home fire incidents.
