Activity: Become A Peer Educator |
|
Purpose:
The Red
Cross offers opportunities for youth to train preschool and
elementary aged children. We are offering to train you on how to
present Scrubby Bear and Disaster Preparedness.
Both programs are approximately 30 minutes long, and they
are easy and fun to present. This is a great opportunity to earn
leadership and service hours while working with children!

you do, then help us to celebrate this person and their bravery
by nominating them for an American Red Cross Bravo for
Bravery Award. The Northwest New Jersey Chapter is now
accepting nominations to salute these everyday heroes and pay
tribute to their unselfish and heroic deeds. |

Activity: Veteran’s Hospital Projects |
|
Purpose:
Start of the
new year by sharing a Valentine with veterans at the Veteran’s
Hospital in Lyons, New Jersey. There are about 600 veterans at
the hospital. You can make a difference by making a cute card
to be delivered to the veterans on their food trays or placed on
bulletin boards throughout the hospital.

Purpose:
Interested
in showing people that you really care? Youth can design
Valentines, which will include tips for a healthy heart, to be
distributed to senior citizens in their communities.
