The American Red Cross makes it easy…
By becoming an American Red Cross Babysitter’s
Training Instructor, you can offer this fun, interactive course
to help young people between the ages of 11 and 15 to:
-
Identify common safety hazards, prevent injuries and handle
emergencies and illnesses;

Make responsible decisions;
-
Communicate well with parents;
-
Perform basic care such as diapering, feeding and dressing;
and
-
Find and interview for babysitting jobs.
Conduct core training in a little over six hours
in one day or over several days. Or, expand the course to
10-hours by adding enhanced activities. |

Help young people develop new skills and
confidence
Becoming a Babysitter’s Training Instructor is
easy.

You must be at least 17 years of age;
-
Earn a Fundamental of Instructor Training (FIT)
certificate;
-
Pass a pre-course written and skills test; and
-
Successfully complete the Babysitter’s Training Instructor
course, which takes 9 ½ hours (including the pre-course
session).
