How your club can be involved in Red Cross Volunteer Activities!
It’s easy! Each month, you will receive Youth Flash,
a newsletter full of ideas and easy steps to complete
monthly volunteer activities through the Red Cross. Youth
Flash will also be posted on our website at
www.northwestnjredcross.org/services/youth. If you need help or
clarification on any activity, please contact Bonnie Ayers,
Youth Services and Program Director at

please keep us informed of your activities by completing monthly
activity event forms that are found with the information about

Purpose:
Help the Red Cross thank everyone who so generously volunteers
to save lives by becoming a blood donor! Show your appreciation
and admiration by making thank you cards with your friends or
other members of your school club or youth organization.

Purpose:
Measles is the leading vaccine preventable cause of death among
children in Africa. Each year, it kills nearly one million
children, a half million in Africa alone. In places where health
conditions are extremely poor and access to health care is
minimal, measles can be easily prevented by a simple vaccination

Are
You Ready for A Hurricane? Hurricane season began on June 1
and will last until November 30. With above average activity in
the forecast for this year, the predictions are: Three to five
hurricanes this year will be of a Category 3 strength or higher.
This could mean complete roof failure on many homes and small
utility buildings blown over or away completely.
