Volunteer Activity: Make A Difference Day Blood Drive |
|
Purpose:
Each day, thousands of patients need blood: cancer patients,
patients requiring heart surgery, premature babies and burn victims. By giving
blood regularly we ensure that there is always enough blood. Teenagers are the
fastest growing group of blood donors in the United States, supplying as much as
16 percent of the blood supply in some places. Youth of all ages can help
increase the blood supply by supporting our youth council 1st annual
Make A Difference Day Blood Drive. Did you know that one blood donation can
save three lives?
