School
Supply Collection |

Provide basic school supplies for needy children locally. As
you are probably aware, school supplies requested by school
districts are costly and not everyone can afford them. You can
make a difference by helping a family who would have to make the
decision of buying school supplies or putting food on the table.
The Red Cross works with local non-profit agencies to make sure
the items will be received by those most in need. When you
speak with the Red Cross, make sure you know which age group you
are getting supplies for. More… |

you the tools to make a difference in your community. Meetings
are usually the 1st Monday of the month during the

 Attention High School Students:
Become a member of our Jr. Disaster Action Team!
|
|
The American Red Cross responds to over 60,000 disasters
nationwide each year and provides disaster relief to hundreds of
thousands of people who have been affected by those events. No
matter what the disaster entails,, the Red Cross network of
disaster relief workers is always trained and prepared to meet
the needs of those affected. Youth have the opportunity to
participate in our Disaster Program as a member of the Junior
Disaster Action Team. Youth can get involved before disaster
strikes through training, governance, planning and
preparedness. They will also have the opportunity to assist
when disaster is imminent and during a disaster response through
shelter mass care, disaster relief
operations management, damage assessment and logistics.
